Standing Seam Steel, Where Precision Matters. Steel Tile Where Character Counts. One Unified System.
A Roof Designed for Where Water Meets Wind
Lakeside homes demand more from a roof. Wind exposure is higher, moisture is constant, and seasonal movement is unavoidable. The solution can’t be generic — and it can’t rely on short-term fixes.
This home had reached a point where the existing roof no longer aligned with its setting or its performance needs. The owners wanted something permanent: a system that could handle the realities of waterfront living while elevating the architecture of the home itself.
Titan Steel Roofing designed and installed a purpose-built metal roofing system that combines two complementary profiles — each used where it performs best. Standing seam steel was selected for areas requiring precise water management and clean drainage, while a steel clay-tile profile was used on the main roof slopes to introduce texture, depth, and architectural character.
Rather than treating these as separate materials, the entire roof was engineered as a single, integrated system. Every transition, valley, and intersection was carefully detailed to manage wind uplift, moisture intrusion, and thermal movement — conditions that are amplified in lakeside environments.
Key elements of the work include:
- Standing seam steel panels in critical areas, providing clean lines, controlled water flow, and long-term reliability
- Steel tile roofing on primary slopes, delivering architectural presence without sacrificing durability
- Custom-formed transitions and valleys, eliminating weak points between systems
- Integrated chimney and roofline detailing, resolved without exposed fasteners in high-risk zones
- A unified colour and finish palette, ensuring the roof reads as one intentional design
The Result
The finished roof feels balanced and deliberate — technical where it needs to be, expressive where it's seen most. From the shoreline or the yard, the home carries more presence. From a performance standpoint, it delivers confidence.
There are no competing materials. No awkward transitions. No areas left to "deal with later." Just a roof designed specifically for its environment — and built to stay out of mind for decades to come.
When your home sits where water meets wind, your roof needs to be more than durable. It needs to be designed.
